Suniel Shetty (born 11 August 1961). is an Indian film actor, producer and entrepreneur predominantly active in Bollywood.Suniel   made his mark in the industry doing action-oriented films and has starred in many Hindi films like Mohra, Dilwale, Krishna, Hera Pheri, Sapoot and Bhai.
Shetty won a Filmfare Award for Best Villain in 2001 for the film Dhadkan Shetty.has also produced films like Khel – No Ordinary Game , Rakht, Bhagam Bhag under the banner of 'Popcorn Motion Pictures'.

Suniel Shetty was signed as the leading man by Pahlaj Nihalani for the film Ek Aur Faulad, but it was dropped due to creative differences, but Shetty started off his film career with the film Balwaan with Divya Bharti as the leading lady in 1992. The film surprisingly done moderate business. His second release was Waqt Hamara Hai with Akshay Kumar which also met success. His big brother role in Pehchaan along with Saif Ali Khan, Shilpa Shirodkar and Madhoo also done well at the box office. 1994 was the best year for stabilizing him as the action hero. Anth paired with Somy Ali and Dilwale with Ajay Devgan and Raveena Tandon became success followed by blockbuster Mohra once again with Akshay Kumar. Shetty done a comic role for the first time much before director Priyadarshan roped in for comic roles later with Gopi Kishan, the remake of Tamil hit Avasara Police 100 written and directed by K. Bhagyaraj also became a success, but his last release of 1994 Hum Hain Bemisaal with Akshay Kumar done only average business. His four releases of 1995, Surakshaa, Raghuveer, Gaddaar and Takkar did average business and he played the anti hero for the first time in Gaddaar and pitted against Naseeruddin Shah in Takkar along with Sonali Bendre. 1996 was a disappointing year for him as most of his films Vishwasghaat, Shastra, Rakshak, Ek Tha Raja, Krishna and Sapoot performed below par, while in 1997 he was appreciated for his performance in the war epic blockbuster Border and Bhai released on Diwali was a success despite coinciding with Shahrukh Khan's Dil To Pagal Hai.

Suniel Shetty This decade started with Dhadkan once again with Akshay Kumar earned him the Filmfare Best Villain Award for his performance as well as huge box office success, but his solo starrer Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar flopped. he was a part of many successful multi starrers like Awara Paagal Deewana, Qayamat: City Under Threat, Main Hoon Na, Hulchul, Chup Chup Ke, Apna Sapna Money Money, Shootout at Lokhandwala, One Two Three, De Dana Dan and Phir Hera Pheri throughout this decade. In 2009Suniel   won SAIFF (South Asia International Film Festival) as a Best Actor for the film Red Alert: The War Within.

In 2010, Suniel Shetty starred in Daddy Cool, De Dana Dan, and No Problem, whereas in 2011, Suniel  only starred in Thank You, which was a box office average.
As a producer,Suniel  set up a production company called Popcorn Motion Pictures Ltd, which produced the films Khel – No Ordinary Game (2003), Rakht: What If You Can See the Future and Bhagam Bhag (2006). In recent years  Shetty has mostly played small roles in multi-starred films. Besides Bollywood he appeared in the English film Don't Stop Dreaming in 2007 and the Tamil film 12B. Suniel  also hosted Biggest Loser Jeetega on Sahara One. Sunil  is now also captain of the Mumbai Heroes cricket team in the Celebrity cricket league..

Suniel Shetty was born in a Tulu speaking ethnic Bunt family on 11 August 1961 in Mulki, India The actor also owns restaurants specialising in Udupi cuisine and clothing boutiques.
Suniel  is married to Mana Shetty and has two children named Ahan and Athiya. Mana runs an NGO for under-privileged kids Shetty has a Black Belt in Kick Boxing.
